Synopsis (Goodreads): “Love is your destiny. It is the purpose of your life. It is the key to your happiness and to the evolution of the world.”

Loveability is a meditation on love. It addresses the most important thing you will ever learn. All the happiness, health, and abundance you experience in life comes from your ability to love and be loved. This ability is innate, not acquired.

Robert Holden is the creator of a unique program on love called Loveability, which he teaches worldwide. He has helped thousands of people to transform their experience of love. “Love is the real work of your life,” says Robert. “As you release the blocks to love you flourish even more in your relationships, work, and life.”

In Loveability, Robert weaves a beautiful mix of timeless principles and helpful practices about the nature of true love. With great intimacy and warmth, he shares stories, conversations, meditations, and poetry that have inspired him in his personal inquiry on love. Key themes include: Your destiny is not just to find love; it is to be the most loving person you can be.

My rating: 4.5 / 5 ★

I rarely ever read non-fiction books. In fact, I can barely even recall any specific non-fiction books that I enjoyed reading. There are cases where I love to open recipe books or my mother's book on cat biographies, but mostly I found joy in the pictures rather than the actual words written in it. So, let's start on how I actually picked up Loveability.

I am currently doing a research on dark love in Lang Leav's poetry for my thesis, and I am in need of books related to anything about love. While I was browsing through books in the public library this particular one day, my fingers grazed upon the spine of this book and I pulled it out. My first thought was "oh, what a colourful title, that's interesting". But it was the "Knowing how to love and be loved" that intrigued me the most, so I decided to check the book out and borrow it to be read.

Honestly, even from the first chapter, I found the book to be very wonderfully written. Robert Holden has conducted a class/sessions called "Loveability" to discover how people see about love. He relates the things that he studied with true stories that he faced with his students, clients, friends and family. I think that is the part where it makes what he wants to present to be very genuine.

Robert Holden introduces about "unconditioned self", where humans have eternal loveliness and they love themselves without judging their own selves. For a person who finds it difficult to properly love herself at all times, I find his words to be very comforting. It feels like he talks to the readers to "let go of your insecurities and embrace yourself wholly because you are lovely enough as you are". There is no point in creating another version of yourself for the sake of appearing "good" to others, if you will not be able to love and embrace that version of you. Because it's not the real you.

Talking about loving yourself is definitely harder than actually doing it, and I have immense respect towards Robert Holden because he is able to bring himself to love himself wholly, and also helps others to do the same. I can remember one of the activities he mentions that he did in "Loveability", it is called Mirror Exercise. You sit facing another person, and the person holds out a mirror in front of you. Tell yourself that you love yourself and talk about the good things about you while looking into the mirror for around fifteen minutes (this is what I understand from the exercise, pardon me if I misunderstood). Once you are done, hold out a mirror for your partner for his/her turn.

Feeling curious, I actually tried doing it in the mirror in my room. The words "I love myself" rolled off my tongue easily, and I find it to be quite interesting. I didn't try practicing it for fifteen minute nor did I do it in front of another person, so I'm unsure of how I would react like if I did the actual activity. Despite only looking into the mirror and seeing only yourself, you are aware that you are still exposed to the world, so the result will differ from what you might expect.

Loveability also talks about us being made out of love. Love is inside us, and not something that we should seek outside from another person. Yet, at the same time, we should also be open to love everyone. I find this a very heartwarming idea; you embrace yourself and loves everyone around you. Robert Holden started his book with questions such as how would the world be if it revolves around love—now imagine. How will the world become if everyone can love themselves and love those around them? How will the world be if we can just love?

I didn't manage to finish reading the book because I got caught up with university's assignments, but even so, I learned a lot through the chapters I've read. Whenever I am consumed in anger, I often channeled hate towards myself. I want to learn to stop doing so and simply love myself and those around me more from now onward.

Loving everyone is true love. It's also the key to being able to love someone.

It may look like I still spent a lot during October, after announcing that I'm on shopping-ban during September. But I speak truth, because honestly, I didn't spend too much in October. Most of the books are free review copies that I received, some other things are paid by someone else or given to me, and as for the albums, they were ordered way back so it literally means I didn't spend my money on them this month. That's just my kind of logic ΙΏ(。・ɜ・)ΙΎ

1. Nano White Fresh Mattifying Moisturiser

Even though I mostly prefer to use Aloe Vera gels as my moisturiser, I occasionally change to different kind of moisturisers just for fun. This time, I wanted to try Nano White Fresh's Mattifying Moisturiser.

After using it for several weeks, I finally noticed that this moisturiser is actually catered for oily skin, which is not meant for me because my skin is dry. Thankfully, it works pretty well on my face. It's quite creamy, but not heavy at all. Not quite sure if it is "mattifying", but I have no complaints for this product.

— Purchased from Guardians

2. Maybelline's Baby Lips Color

Bought this one to use during the times when I'm extra lazy to even put on lipstick (it is necessary because I'd look deathly pale without anything on my lips). I've always liked Maybelline's Baby Lips products, but after losing one of the lipsticks a couple of years back, I haven't bought one any longer.

I like the colour of this one, but I'm not really fond of the scent. Can't quite explain how it smells like but it's not too bad so I'm okay with it.

3. GOT7's 7 For 7 Albums - Golden Ver. & Magic Ver.

After so long, my inner Ahgase is finally resurrected (thanks to a certain someone)! I found these albums for a cheap price and decided to buy one for my fellow Ahgase best friend too ♡ The golden version (left) is hers, while the magic version (right) is mine.

Honestly I have no regrets at all. This album is definitely the prettiest out of all other existing GOT7 albums (excluding Present: You because I haven't seen that one yet) and I am so in love with each and every picture in them! Love the fact that I got to pick our biases (my friend's bias is Jackson, and Yugyeom is my bias) for the lyrics book inside and gosh, everything is absolutely stunning ◟(•̀Π΄•́◟ )

— Purchased from @jiaxinkoay_1011 on Carousell

4. BTS' Love Yourself: Answer Album - E Ver.

To be honest, after LY: Her, I've sworn not to buy any more albums, but I could no longer contain my urge when I saw the teaser photos of LY: Answer. I was like, screw it, I NEED THIS ALBUM. And so I got myself one (because my bank account only allows me to pay enough for one). I chose the E version because the concept is utterly ethereal looking, the boys all look like magical fae creatures trapped in beautiful terrariums.

I also love the part where the boys' hands are tied up with laces, they look like puppets or dolls, but very beautiful ones. The CDs are absolutely lovely too, the holographic effect they give are just wonderful. I love every single detail of this album, but it did feel like there were too little pictures included. I need more γƒΎ(*Π΄*)οΎ‰゛

And for the forth time, I pulled out another Taehyung (V) photocard! I do love this man wholeheartedly, but it's about time I pull out Jimin's photocard please, he's the only missing member in my collection. After much deliberation, I decided to sell off the photocard to someone else because I failed to trade it with a Jimin photocard.

— Purchased from @moshi.kimochi.kshop on Carousell

5. BTS' O!RUL8,2? Album

And because I've broken my swear not to buy albums anymore, I've decided to start collecting Bangtan's older albums too. I opt for preloved ones without photocards and posters, because it's cheaper that way.

I was not yet an ARMY when O!RUL8,2? and N.O were released, but it still makes me feel nostalgic when I received this album. Seeing how different they were back then compared to now warms up my heart a lot. Their concepts back then were mostly rough on the edges, but really, they were still too innocent back then. Bangtan is a lot mature now, and it's amazing to see their growth.

I used to dislike hip hop or rough songs, but I guess when you love someone (or a certain seven amazingly beautiful men), even that can change. I treasure this album a lot, mainly because it's the early sides of Bangtan, and also because the pictures inside are so worth it! Compared to current albums where I'm literally begging for more pictures to be added let's-stop-giving-blank-pages-please, O!RUL8,2? makes me feel much satisfaction.

6. A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson, American Panda by Gloria Chao, The Restless Girls by Jessie Burton, Cloud Boy by Marcia Williams & The Twisted Tree by Rachel Burge

So happy to receive these review copies from Pansing! I can't wait to dive into them, I feel like it's been quite a while since I enjoyed my time reading books. Looking forward to love each and every bit of them ❣

The Restless Girls and American Panda are now available in all good bookstores, while A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, Cloud Boy and The Twisted Tree will be released in 2019.

— Received from Pansing (@definitelybooks)

7. Wanginya, Bunga Rampai... by Haswida Abu Bakar

The author of this book is actually one of the lecturers from my faculty in university. With her permission, my teammates and I are going to adapt it into a drama script! I'm not that confident in writing scripts, but I'm working the best I can, so hopefully all things will go well.

— Ordered from Jemari Seni's website

8. Patches

I think patches are very cute! Especially on denim jackets or bag packs. Since I have yet to own a denim jacket, I bought these patches for my bag pack. They're very pretty, aren't they? I also got them for a cheap price so I'm very happy.

"FIGHT like a GIRL" because yes, girls are definitely stronger than you think. "Go away" on a pink heart because I may be a softhearted person, but at some point I need my time alone so please go away. Pusheen on a burger!, because why not? I'm almost sure that "Trust no one" is making reference to X-Files, but I don't watch the series so I'm just going to take the quote literally. Literally, most people can no longer be trusted these days. A random sunset/sunrise by the ocean because I miss going to the beaches a lot. And lastly, Moon Child because that's just who I am. Not long after I bought these patches, Namjoon (RM) released his newest mixtape Mono. and one of his songs is titled Moon Child. Just a mere coincidence, but it means a lot to me ♡

— Purchased at The Curve Weekend Bazaar

9. Horoscope Perfume by Miniso - Sagittarius

I rarely wear perfumes, so most of the times where I buy perfumes, they're mostly because of the packaging. I bought this one while hanging out with a friend. She got herself her own horoscope one, while I chose Sagittarius. I don't necessarily read any horoscope readings, I just bought this one for fun. It has a sweet smell, and I love that the design happened to be a cute bunny too!

— Purchased from Miniso

10. Bracelet

This was given to me by a very dear friend. She actually contacted me to ask for opinions on which bracelet is cuter, so I pointed one out and it turned out to be mine after all. I think it's very cute. Thank you so much for this!

— A present from a friend

;

Basically, the only things that I spent my money on during October are the patches, the horoscope perfume from Miniso and the novel (Wanginya, Bunga Rampai...). I think I did a good job in keeping myself in check. Not so sure if I'll be able to keep on with this good attitude, but I'm hoping I'll learn to save more now.

This is long over due, we're already in November, but I had prepared this post halfway earlier, so I'll just post anyway.

So, here we go! The glory to the reason why I'm currently chaining myself in a "shopping-ban" (οΎ‰οΎŸΞΏοΎŸ)ノミ★ I simply bought just too much to the point I almost burned a hole in my pockets. I realised that I should curb myself from spending more, or I might end up being penniless (oh the horror). But what's done is done, there's no point regretting (♭´●Ο‰●`)

1. Hedgehog Sticky-Note

This adorable Hedgy sticky note is the very first time that I bought this month! Found it in this pretty story named Kaleidoscope in Publika. I swear I almost cried the moment I stepped into the store because everything they sell is too precious! From plushies, dolls, clothings, bags to stationery, each and every of them are beautiful; I WANT THEM ALL. But thankfully, I didn't bring much cash with me that day so I just purchased this sticky note. I'm happy enough and can't wait to use it soon.

— Purchased from Kaleidoscope, Publika Shopping Gallery

2. Special Mementos by Duality Box @ Juliet's Library's Soft Launch

If you've read my previous haul posts, you'll know just how fond I am with Duality Box. And during Juliet's Library's soft launch early September, the founders of Duality Box graced us with some wonderful freebies!

The mermaid themed freebies, inspired by the book of the month: To Kill a Kingdom, includes a mini bookmark, button badge, mini macaroons and a love note. The first thing that I noticed upon receiving these freebies was the mini macaroons! They looked so pretty and almost unreal, I had to question whether they're edible or not (´◔ΰ±ͺ◔) it was a good surprise to know that they're edible because I love macaroons so much! The rest of the freebies are much loved too ♡

— Received during Juliet's Library's Soft Launch

3. 'Always Believe You Can' Notebook

I'm not usually lucky when it comes to lucky draws/giveaways, but surprisingly, I won this book during the lucky draw on Juliet's Library's Soft Launch. I was the first to win something, and boy, I was so excited! The notebook is gorgeous, the gold colour of it making it look very sophisticated. And I love the lettering on the front cover. Still not sure how to make use of this book (since I have tons more book to use), but I'll make sure to put it to good use.

— Won from a lucky draw during Juliet's Library's Soft Launch

4. Washi Tapes & Foil Tapes

Decided to buy some supplies for my journalling time! Found these pretty tapes in a nearby Mr. DIY for a cheap price, and I wasted no time in getting them. The washi tapes are of cute plants, and the foil tapes are very shiny! I have never had foil tapes before, so I can't wait to try using them.

Oh, and if you're interested in winning one of these pretty washi/foil tapes, head to my Instagram @mermaird and join my giveaway!

— Purchased from Mr. DIY

5. Bookmark

For someone who normally uses a single bookmark, it's surprising that I still spend more money on collecting more bookmarks (well, I can't help it, seeing as I'm a bookworm and also a hoarder). But this pretty one costs only RM1 and I've always wanted to own a "wooden-ish" bookmark, so here we go! I'm not sure what the design is about though; a girl with a... standing deer?

— Purchased from Mr. DIY

6. Unicorn, Llama & Mermaid Sticky-Notes

More supplies for my journal! They're all of creatures that I'm very fond of: mermaids, llamas and unicorns!

— Purchased from Mr. DIY

7. Doughnut Sticky-Note

Of course, more sticky notes ╮(◕Λ‡▽Λ‡◕;)╭ Well, there is no such thing as too many sticky notes (or any other journal supplies), I believe! I also comes with a small pen, which means extra points there. I'm thinking of using this to make notes for the plot line & idea of a story that I want to work on. Looking forward to fill up the walls of my room with this adorable doughnut stickies!

— Purchased from Mr. DIY

8. Die-cut Stickers

I guess the stationery supplies for my journal will never end, here comes the stickers! (⁎ α΅› α΅• α΅›) This is also the reason why I shouldn't visit any Mr. DIY stores (or Daiso!) too much, or I'll just end up splurging a lot on stationery there. How can I resist when they're too pretty and costs very cheap too?

I initially wanted to take only one sticker set, but my indecisive-self could not make a decision so I decided to take both. Let's face it, I will never be able to choose between anything floral or mermaid related.

— Purchased from Mr. DIY

9. Pink & Mint Stripes Mini Bag

This is a small bag that I bought mostly to put my makeup things and book (and sometimes food) when I go to class.

— Purchased from a local vendor

10. BTS Play Badges by @Lunaticworld613

I SWEAR THESE ARE SOME OF THE PRETTIEST PINS I HAVE EVER OWNED ✨✨✨ @Lunaticworld613 produced BTS Play Badges with all BTS's album designs, and though I wished I could purchase all, I could only afford two. I decided to choose HYYH Pt. 1 and YNWA designs because these two era are the most meaningful to me.

HYYH Pt. 1 was when I formally joined the fandom of ARMY, despite following their updates and comebacks since the Boy in Luv era. I fell in love with the concept and story they tried to project, so here I am now πŸ’œ YNWA is my favourite era of BTS because it was the softest moment and Spring Day will always have a special day in my heart πŸ’œ✨

The details of these pins are truly stunning, they're just the sweetest! Heard the news that @Lunaticworld613 will be releasing Play Badges for LY: Her, LY: Tear and LY: Answer soon, so a girl must start collecting money to own all three ─=≡Ξ£((( VΰΉ‘◉∀◉)぀

— Ordered from a G.O. by @chimchimairways, enamel pins by @Lunaticworld613

11. Best Friends Jacket Enamel Pins

More enamel pins, because why not? I've been eyeing this pair of enamel pins for quite some time, and I finally decided to get them. I'm planning to give one half to my soul sister, Hyeo, when I send her a letter. Haven't gotten to that yet, but if you're reading this Hyeo (probably no because you're too busy), one of these pins will be sent to you anytime soon πŸ’–

— Ordered from @verypinny

12. Freebies by Good Virtues Co.

I'm really fond of Good Virtues Co.'s product packaging, but somehow I rarely purchase them. I used to buy their shower cream back when I stayed in my previous college, but not anymore. It was really interesting that my university just organised an event in September and Good Virtues Co. sponsored some of their products for the students. Look at the pretty packaging!

— Sponsored by Good Virtues Co. for an event in UiTM

13. Gaun Bulan by Jed Stellarose & Malam Persembunyian by Faisal Mat Zawi

When I first visited Kata-Pilar's booth (in the same event my university held where I got the previous products for free), these two books immediately caught my attention. I love the design of the cover so much. Even the title, Gaun Bulan (Moon Gown) and Malam Persembunyian (Hidden Night), sounded intriguing!

These books are poetry books, and I normally take a much longer time to finish reading poetry books compared to novels as I like to digest every single poems properly. But I'll be sure to write a review on them once I finish reading them!

— Purchased from Kata-Pilar's booth

14. Aku Anjing by Saifullizan Yahaya (Signed Copy)

I probably bought this book for two reasons: 1) my friends were buying it too and I didn't want to miss it, 2) the author is around so we managed to get his signature inside! I did flip through the book a little, and the short stories inside seemed interesting enough, so there's nothing to regret even though I simply followed my friends. Plus, it's a signed copy! I always treasure signed book copies, and although this is only the third signed copy of a book that I own, it's the first one that gets signed in front of me.

— Purchased at Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka, Kuala Lumpur

15. Silver Heart Necklace

I have always envied girls in movies, tv shows or books that wore necklaces that means something special to them (in some cases, hold their greatest powers). I do have a collection of pretty necklaces, but I can never wear them in a long duration of time because they will make my skin itchy. But a girl never gives up, so I decided to try my luck by buying a silver necklace. The shop owner where I bought it also suggested several heart-shaped lockets, and I chose this one.

It makes me very happy that this necklace does not make my skin itchy at all, and I'm able to wear it 24/7! It's a dainty little one, and I love it with all my heart.

— Purchased from a jewellery store in Giant Seksyen 13, Shah Alam

16. Oversized Pink & White Striped Tee

I'm a huge fan of stripes, and I used to avoid wearing clothes with horizontal lines since they give me the illusion of being fat (fatter than I already am ・へ・). But I've decided that I should not bother about that because hey, I'm good as I am and I should embrace myself! So, I got myself this oversized pink tee when I found it in Padini, and it's one of the cutest clothes I've ever had.

— Purchased from Padini

17. Floral Blouse

Another blouse that I purchased during the month, featuring flowers design and ruffles (it's not really visible in the picture). It's not something that I've bought before, but I felt cute when I tried the blouse on, so I had to get it.

— Purchased from Brands Outlet

18. Duality Box September '18 Edition: Dangerously Alive

Of course, last but not least, September Duality Box! More deets can be read here, I've written a special review unboxing post on it during September. This box is my favourite, as it features so many fabulous things. It's upsetting to say that this is the last box I'm getting for the year, since I didn't order November box due to several circumstances (it's already sold out too!).

But Duality Box has indeed been a wonderful thing to me this year, and I look forward to their future boxes πŸ’•

— Ordered from Duality Box (Instagram / Website)

;

Honestly, I think I missed out several things. I'm positive I spent a lot more in September (because wHERE DID ALL MY MONEY GO?), but I can no longer recall them. I did exclude a pair of pink shoes that I bought because I've already worn them, and I'm too lazy to take a picture outside. The rest of them will remain a mystery, I guess ΰ²‘_಑

Anyway, I'm late for this September haul post, but October haul post will come right up real soon! Stay tuned πŸ’›

P.S: I used a lot of emojis in this post because that's just how I am when I try to communicate with someone (my texts are always filled with emojis), do you find it alright, or it's annoying?

Till next time ♡ Love, Aishah Humaira'

Drama: 100 Days My Prince (English title) / Hundred Days' Husband (literal title)
Revised romanization: Baekilui Nanggoonnim
Hangul: 백일의 λ‚κ΅°λ‹˜
Director: Lee Jong-Jae
Writer: No Ji-Sul
Network: tvN
Episodes: 16
Release Date: September 10 - October 30, 2018
Country: South Korea
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Lee Yool (Do Kyungsoo) is the Crown Prince, but he suddenly disappears. He comes back to the palace one hundred days later. What happened to the Crown Prince for the past one hundred days? Meanwhile, Hong-Sim (Nam Jihyun) is smart and runs the first private detective agency in Joseon.

My rating: 4.5/5 stars (★)

When I first heard that Kyungsoo and Jihyun are going to be paired up in a historical drama, I was absolutely ecstatic! I love both of their acting, and I really looked forward to the chemistry that they're going to bring. And much to my expectation, they don't disappoint at all.

Just like any usual Korean drama, 100 Days My Prince did not run astray from the "main-characters-know-each-other-during-childhood-then-got-into-a-relationship-in-their-adulthood" concept, and though I normally dislike it, it was not that bad in this drama. It seems necessary, because without that essence, this drama might be slightly harder to be concluded. Not impossible, but I guess they need it in order to not lengthen it too much.

The character of the prince, Lee Yool (Do Kyungsoo), was very fun to watch. I believe that Kyungsoo did a wonderful job in bringing the character alive; his expressions are definitely gold! From a serious and solemn prince, Lee Yool learned that there are happiness when he gets tangled up with Hong-Sim. As for Hong-Sim (Nam Jihyun), there's nothing not to adore about her. She's definitely not your typical damsel; pretty much all over the place but she's strong and smart enough to fight for what she thinks is right. When Lee-Yool and Hong-Sim get tangled, it's hard not to love their interaction.

I think I enjoyed this drama mostly due to the interactions between Lee Yool and Hong-Sim (the bickers are the most fun to watch, and oh, they had a very beautiful first kiss too), but at the same time, the villagers are all very amusing too. The plot is still about ministers running for the king's throne, yet it is unique in its own way. The drama does have serious issues in it, but they managed to insert a lot of comedic moments without making it ridiculous. I especially loved how the story ended, because in a way, you can make up your own conclusion of how Lee Yool and Hong-Sim found their own happiness. It's safe to say that 100 Days My Prince is one of the best dramas of 2018!
