This may sound childish, but animation movie(s) is and always will be my favourite movies.

Despicable Me had been one of my favourite animation movies, and it was such an excitement when they announced the release of (I think it is the prequel for Despicable Me, right?) Minions. Those small yellow one-eyed and two-eyes creatures are so adorable, and hilarious too. Things often go wrong when being under their hands (especially in Despicable Me 2, yup), but what can you say to them? They're too huggable, I'd never say no to them if they're mine.

Just like the synopsis has stated, the minions supposedly existed since million years ago, and these yellow creatures lived in a huge colony that needs something huge and powerful as their master. In other words, they basically enslave themselves to bigger powers. But things always go wrong for them, either they messed up and enraged their masters or they caused the masters to be eaten by something else. So, they were often on the run.

The last master they had were the Napoleon, and after causing damage accidentally in a war, the minions ran for shelter in huge cave somewhere in a snowy place. They had fun there for a long time, building houses and things and played a lot of things, but in the end they got bored.

That's when Kevin pops out. He's one of the minions (probably the only one) that have lots of good ideas. So when he presented his idea—which is him leaving their colony and going out to find a new master, with two more companions—the other minions supported him fully. Kevin personally picked Stuart (because Stuart is so good in looking cool) while Bob... He somehow forced his way through Kevin, but Bob is just so sweet and adorable, Kevin probably couldn't say no either. So, that's how their journey to find a new master started.

I'll just leave it there, because I don't want to spoil too much.

Honestly, I think I liked watching Despicable Me more. Even though I love the Minions so much, I kinda miss their interaction with Gru. But nonetheless, I still enjoyed watching Minions. I laughed seriously a lot of times (because, yeah, well, minions can be quite dumb at most times) and I definitely adored Bob the most. Their journey to find a new master were amazing, and they even said "terima kasih" (means 'thank you' in Bahasa Melayu and Bahasa Indonesia) in one scene.

All in all, I think Minions is one of the best animation movie ever made.

Overall rate: ★★☆ (4.7 out of 5)

P.S: I heard that Despicable Me 3 will be released in 2017. Can't wait!

Till next time ♡ Love, Humaira
